My Story of Hope and Resilience Richard Vale
This isn’t a perfect story — it’s a real one.
I know what it feels like when life gets heavy. When the road gets steep and the shadows seem to stretch further than the light. I’ve faced moments where giving up felt easier than carrying on. Moments where everything felt like it was pushing me backwards.
But somewhere in all of that, I found something quiet… something steady. Not strength in the way people talk about it — loud and powerful — but the kind that simply refuses to quit. The kind that gets you through one more day, one more step, one more breath.
I didn’t write Still Standing because I had everything figured out. I wrote it because I didn’t. I wrote it for the days that feel too heavy, for the people who feel like they’re walking it alone, and for anyone who just needs something real to hold onto.
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being here. Still moving. Still trying. Still standing.
If you’re reading this and things feel tough right now — you’re not alone. And you’re stronger than you think, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
I’m here to share what helped me keep going, in the hope it helps you do the same.
This isn’t just my story.
It’s for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re carrying more than they can handle.
If you’re here, there’s a reason — and you’re not alone in it.
